How to make sure the Whole person is being treated.

My son (10) is going in for more testing. This round started a month ago with a teacher concerned about Petit Mal Siezures ( just blanks out occassionally)  A recent EEG (?) didn't indicate seizures but he couldn't fall asleep for part of it.  The test revealed "Decreased Amplitude Left Side" of his brain. An MRI is being scheduled to look more into that. I asked my wife, an RN, about it and she seems to think this isn't really an issue.
He has been Diagnosed with the following:
- Sensory Intergration Disfunction (infant)
- ADHD
- Hypercalcemia - FHH conflicting diagnoses
- Calcium Crisis (newborn) identified years later
-  PPD NOS
- Bee Sting Allergy
- complains of Headaches to the point were he lays in bed when he could be watching tv. mildly increasing frequency

Behaivor and learning seem to taking a down trend this year.  What are we missing?
when my son was going through the calcium crisis, every time we couldn't console him or distract him and stop his crying and screaming I wanted to take him to the Doctor as in ER but the rotating well baby check up provider, the visiting nurse, the lactation nurse, my wife a nurse, and all the grandparents told me things would work out. A simple blood test would have revealed the source of all his screaming and our sleepless nights.    ...   I am starting to get the same "gut" feeling that we are missing something...

Family History Parents :
Hyperactivity  (extremely destructive childhood)     Hypercalcemia - FHH ruled out
ADHD     Depresion     Insomnia    Depression     Migranes     eating disorders

Grandparents (P)
Schizophrenia      Alcoholic     Kidney and Gall bladder stones     Depression     Seasonal disorder
