What's happening to me?

by VengeanceSeeker, Apr 09, 2008 07:12AM
For the last few months, my face is covered with painfully agonizing acne. I dont know where i went wrong. Was it something i eat or am i using the wrong product? This is not my first time dealing with acne, but recently the boils are really bugging me and i can't do anything about them. btw, i seriously think that there's nothing wrong with my cleanser. i've been using them for years and everything was ok until lately. fyi, i'm taking way too much refined sugar and i do think it is the root of my problem. Care to help me out? I really want to get these things out from my face! it's hurting me! :(

Hi. You haven't done anything "wrong". Diet has not been proven to influence acne.  Acne is caused by hormonal changes and as you are 18 this is not abnormal.
See your doctor for a course of oral or topical antibiotics which will clear your skin.

Actually, everything you put in your body effects you. You are what you eat!
Sugar is harmful in many ways..

I didn't have acne until I was 24 or 25... it is not only what you eat but stress, hormones and environmental issues.  Try to use a gentle wash like cetaphil or neutrogena and seek a dermatologist for help.

if you have boils you should really try turmeric. takes about a month, but it works.
