I got myself a puppy at xmas to keep me company while my partner works night which is great but it all seems to be going wrong i have got sooooo clingy to this puppy that ive been think of ways to get out of work to be home with her.
I dont mean ive been booking days off i mean i been thinking about how i could maybe have an accident in work so i could be sent home
I work with acid and i even thought about pouring acid over my arm so i would be off work and could be home with her.
I think about her all the time i mean i really cant stop thinking about her to the point where i start getting depressed and start crying.
This can not be health how can i love an animal so much im pineing after her im so worried something will happen to her. I use to be like this with my partner i didnt want him going out with out me as i get an empty feeling inside
any ideas or im i going mad

I would say that you do have a problem, and i would suggest that you talk with a therapist, as-i do not think  that this is normal behavior. . maybe you need to start depending on your self, try to think of other things, also get out more, and do some fun things, maybe you have what is called codependency, I realize that people love their pets, but not to this extent,       luck  jo

I addressed this in another thread.
