HPV, cryosurgery, & pregnancy

by klea81, Apr 09, 2008 08:34PM
When I was pregnant with my first child, I did not have HPV.  6 weeks after my child was born I was diagnosed with HPV.  That was over 4 years ago.  My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for over 15 months.  I went off of the pill 15 months ago.  However, 2 months ago I had to undergo cryosurgery to remove lesions on my cervix due to the HPV.  Also, since my dr. gave me the ok to have sex after the cryosurgery, I also have bright red blood on myself and my husband after having sex.  My dr. said it was b/c of scar tissue, but it's been 2 months since the surgery.  Most side effects last 6 weeks or less.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Has anyone conceived after having cryosurgery? And how long after cryosurgery were you able to conceive?
