by lex123456, Apr 10, 2008 08:50AM
so..my friend has told me many times her stomach is always hurting but just things she says like my stomach hurts and i dont feel like eating and just dumb excuses but it all sounds like she might be anorexic...and she went to the dorctors for her problem and they asked her about being anorexic and she freaked out and her mom asked too and my friend freaked out and im pretty sure people with anorexia would not totally flip out...i dont know what to do because in the last 3months she has lost almost 20 pounds...she got her tousels out about 3months ago and lost 10pounds and always was bringing up ive lost ten pounds so i wonder if she liked knowing that she lost 10pounds and feels so much better about it and liked it...im in some need of help because i have no idea how to handle this at all...

Get her help and be a friend.  By you telling her that anorexia is a serious problem and can be fatal if not attended to. She needs your help. There are doctors that she can go to before it's too late.  There are so many young girls who think image is everything and tell her that she looks good.  Because I had a friend that was bulimic and I told her that if she doesn't get help it's going to damage her organs.  She is fine now because she seeked medical help.  Look it up on the net, there are famous people who suffered from anorexia-Karen Carpentar, Tracy Gold, just to name a couple. Make her parents very aware and be there for her- No matter what.
