Wow, I was just looking at jenandjon's update and am so impressed with how many of you have had ultrasounds already.  I am so jealous!  I have been waiting 3 weeks just for an appointment!  May I ask where all of you are from?  I'm in Winnipeg, Canada and it seems almost impossible to get one around here unless it's an emergency.  Last time I didn't have one until after I miscarried.  (Then they got me in really fast!).

Well I think the reason so many of us have had u/s's is b/c there was something wrong or are high risk...I had some bleeding..that's why I had one.

I'm from Utah, USA but I also have a risk of the RH factor so they had to give me the RhoGAM shot and make sure baby was ok. :) thankfully so far everything is fine!

I had done IVF and have also had a lot of bleeding.I am 10 weeks and have had about 7 ultrasounds already and I have my first OB appt tomorrow.

Im in Mobile Alabama, Im considered high risk so thats why Ive had to have so many and so early, but Im changing doctors next week so I may not get anymore for a while after Monday

I'm kind of high risk, I'm 36 and have had a previous m/c.  My next Dr. appointment is April 17, but no ultrasound, just a visit to the office.  Hopefully I can hear a heartbeat with a Doppler, I'll be 10 1/2 weeks then.  I hope to at least have an ultrasound appointment when I go next week!

My first prenatal appointment is tomorrow and I am going to BEG for an ultrasound ASAP... I had a miscarriage in January so I am soooo scared and just want to see the little bean; I think it will make me feel so much better.  I'll let you know if my pleading pays off :)

2 m/c and low progesterone got me the 1st u/s...now I've got a cyst that they are monitoring which is getting me the 2nd one;

Although it sucks, not having an u/s til 18-22 weeks is probably the norm.

Me too.I also have to wait for some week for US.Becoz now i m 7 week pregnant.And we are very eager to hear baby's heartbeat and its picture through US.docotor says everything is ok with me so no need to do ultrasound.But i had my veginal US for dating and the replorts are normal.And my baby's heartbeat is about 174 bpm.bit we didnt hear and see any thing on screen.they took only measurements of uterus and all.o we are waiting to have US..

My doc today did grant me permission to get an ultrasound as soon as I could get an appointment (next Tues) after I explained how I am a nervous wreck.  So moral of the story is, it dosen't hurt to ask at your first appointment for an asap ultrasound!

My doc appointment is on Thurdsday, I am hoping that I have an appointment set up by now!  I'm not afaid to beg and plead!  Good luck with your ultrasound!
