Dear lilthing-

Whether or not your cysts need to be removed depends on several factors. First, what is their size? If over 5 cm, and certainly over 7 cm, this might be a reason to remove them. Second, are they completely cystic (meaning entirely made of fluid) or do they have some solid tissue areas. Regarding whether or not your ovaries need to be removed, whether or not just the cysts need to be removed, or even whether you need any surgery at all is very hard to answer on line since this decision depends on very many factors. Please discuss this with your doctor and make sure you understand everything before making any decisions.
