I am being labeled an "emotional eater"

The thing is that I feel very physical hunger pains. I never eat emotionally, frankly im sick of the sight of food! I tell my doctors that I am hungry constantly and I get feelings of hypoglycemia (shaking, waking up sweaty, chapped lips but I drink gallons of water per day) My hormones, blood glocose, thyroid, vitamins, everything has been tested. I did show some digestive problems in a stool test but the doctors still label me as "crazy" and they even wrote I was bulimic in my medical record! Now, becuase of the other doctors wont help me. This hunger and weakness is taking over my life! any body relate? Thank you, I am open to all suggestions. I keep gaining weight even though i have cut out sugar, processed foods, anything bad really. Excersize just makes me worse and often I cant sleep at night due to the feelings of starvation!

I understand why you are confused about emotional eating.  The hunger you feel is real but the origin is emotional hunger if all of your tests have come back normal.  You are gaining weight means the hunger does not come from your body because if you listen to your body you will never gain weight it's only when your emotions take over that you feel compelled to much because you have this sensation of emptiness.  I recommend that you do not fight the diagnosis of emotional eating but instead embrace it as an opportunity to learn more about it and to help yourself.  You can get much more information about it on my ***@****.
