Aura, tinnitus and squishy eye

I'm at a loss and so is my PCP and Neurologist.  1st migraine was in 1992 at age 37.  Had maybe 3 since until 2005 which were pretty bad with aura.  I started getting aura w/minor headaches in 2005 once a month or two.  They included minor headaches but not dibilitating.  About 18 months ago I started getting them every couple weeks.  I had an issue with pain in the left arm and PCP though heart problems.  Have had MRI, angiogram, treadmill tests all excellent results.  About six months ago, auras got to be a couple times a week. I was given Maxalt then Midrin after since Maxalt didn't seem to do it and due to frequency of them as Maxalt is not good for long term use, not to mention the cost!  I then got headaches everyday and Neurologist educated me about too many meds (midrin) causing rebound headaches, so I suffered a bit as to not take meds more than 3 times a week.  About four months ago, I was put on amitriptyline 10mg and was told to get up to 30mg.  After being on it for about a month, I started getting a squishy right eye socket anywhere from 6 to 24 hours before an aura hit.  Very strange.  After the aura, the squishy eye goes away.  Yes.. eys have been checked and no diseases or issues other than my right eye has the strongest astigmatism for which I wear glasses and I now wear all the time.  Stuck at 20mg because if I take more I feel yucky in the am and can't tolerate.  Within a week or two after getting up to 20mg's, I started getting tinnitus.  It seemes like I get this on/off high pitched noise (like a jet taking off in the distance) 6 to 8 times a day.  When I get the aura, the high pitched noise is intense.  My PCP and Neurologist says I should go to an ENT to have my hearing  checked.  I googled my 3 symptoms and found basilar migraines having the tinnitus as one of the symptoms.  Can find nothing with squishy eye socket (only the right eye which is where the aura usually starts.  I do not get the squishy eye if the aura starts on the left side).  My auras end up in both eyes and if not medicated I have temple headaches the next day... sometime both sides but always on the side the aura started.  Anybody out there have or heard of this strange combination?  Thanks,  Dave
