does anyone know if someone has appendicities and their appendix bursts can that cause a miscarriage?

Hello,

It is possible for an appendicitis during pregnancy, particularly if it results in a ruptured appendix or overwhelming infection could lead to a miscarriage.

Best regards,

I had a ruptured appendix, followed by exploratory surgery to remove scar tissue around my intestines, when I was 12.  I have read the scar tissues from abdominal surgeries can lead to ectopic pregnancies and/or infertility.  Can someone tell me more about this?  My husband and I are starting to TTC this month.  I am wanting to know more.

Thanks.
