Yaz cause cramps?

by Sandredeez, Apr 13, 2008 02:20PM
I have been on yaz for 3 months now. I am tired all the time. I can't sleep at night but can't get out of the bed in the morning. I have been have cramps all over my body. My legs, side, face, and every where in my muscles. I went to the Dr for blood work. They said my thyroid is not working right so they did more blood work. I am tired of hurting all the time. My OBGY said its not yaz. But I am worried. I am 40 and I'm not use to feeling like this. I have gained weight and I feel like I am someone else. Does anyone else have cramps?

Hello,

I'd encourage you to follow up with your ob/gyn to help sort out what might be the cause of your symptoms.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

I was on Yaz for a year... It was the worst thing ever.  I too gained a lot of weight.. and had random cramps.. most of my cramps would be in my legs and feet.  I would never have a period.. which was confusing for me since I was told by my doctor that It would only shorten my period .. not take it away all together.  I also lost all drive to want to have sex.. it was horrible.. I just recently switched back to Yasmin (what I was taking before the Yaz).. I hope the change helps.  .. Did you end up changing BC?

I haven't changed BC yet. I am planning to call my Dr. I was finishing out the pack. I hope all is going well with you! Thanks for the comment!
