Metformin and menstration

by MELISSA916, Apr 13, 2008 06:20PM
I have PCOS. I have recently been put on Metformin to help me ovulate. I started with 500mg, then when I went to 1000 mg I started mentstrating. I was on 1000 for about 2 weeks and menstrated for 10 days. I then switched to 1500 mg and started menstration again and ever since now for 14 days. Is this normal while getting used to the medicine or should I go back to my doctor?
