Stretch Marks

by BryLo, Apr 14, 2008 11:53AM
Hi Ladies!  Hope everyone is well!
I am pregant with my first child.  I am now 27 weeks.  My belly has grown so fast and now I am getting stretch marks.  I've been using this "stretch mark' prevensin cream by Palmers, but guess it's not working.  I'm so bumed about this cause my breast grew so fast (2 cups sizes) and they too have marks!
I fear I will look like a road map by the time I hit 40 weeks!!

I know some say there is nothing you can do to prevent them, but I'm a skeptic and think it doesn't hurt to try?

Any suggestions?

My dr said that to some extent stretch marks cannot be prevented.  I would suggest using Palmers more often, if possible.  I don't have stretch marks on my stomach but I have them horribly on my hips and butt.  I'm 31 weeks now, and I use Palmer's 2-3 times a day and I've noticed a difference from using it more often.  Best of luck to you!!

My doctor actually told me that a good way to prevent stretch marks and to lighten them up is to take the Vitamin E pills make sure its the gel ones stick a needle threw it an sprinkle the gel onto your stomach you can spread it all over your stomach or just put them on stretch marks that are already there and it will lighten them. i myself have stretch marks on my stomach as well and i started to put the gel on my stomach an they really started to lighten up although i do recommend to get some playtex gloves because its very sticky and has a weird smell.(the odor from the pill juices)
