My mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Her bone scan is scheduled for end of April.  Breast surgery is scheduled for May 14th.
At her adanced age of 89 is she a good candidate for tamoxifen?  She has hypertension, anemia, and is a survivor of
lung cancer.  The cancer has not spread as far as they can determine at this point.  Radiation and Chemo have
been ruled out due to obvious reasons.

Are there negative side effects to the tamoxifen that will affect her quality of life?
