acidic body vs alkaline body

Could you please tell me what is better; an acidic or an alkaline body?

All foods have different levels of either acidic or alkaline. Our bodies naturally neutralized the food we eat in the digestive system. We need to eat a variety of foods everyday so that there is a balanced intake of acidic and alkaline foods that contain nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to benefit the health of our bodies.

why haven't I received an answer?  I want a doctor's opinion of an acidic vs alkaline body.  I have been reading about this and there are many people pro alkaline and few pro acidic.  I'd like a doctor's or nutritionist's opinion of this.

since the site's nutritionist is not replying, I will, I am a certified nutritionist and alkaline is best...avoid digestive disorders like GERD, inflammation problems, just google up alkaline foods and you will know which is best to eat...but alkaline is best and your body will thank you for it...you can even bathe or drink apple cider vinegar to help you become alkaline....Connie Allen, CNC, messengerofheallth.com

Thank you very much!  I have looked it up but there are so many different opinions and most not from doctors or nutritionists.  I appreciate your answer!
