Irritation not healing

I recently either cut or scratched the area near my clitoris while I was either shaving or having sex. It seems to be a small cut, but instead of getting better, it is getting worse. It is very painful when I urinate and gets very irritated when I wipe after using the restroom or towel off after showering. How can I get this to heal instead of getting worse.

Make sure it is not infected... i.e., not red/discolored, no discharge. If no infection, you might try some Zinc paste to the area twice daily. Also, sit in the bathtum with warm water to aid the healing. If it is not getting better after a couple of days, have it looked at by a gyn.
