I have 1 kidney & just found out that I have a kidney stricture right next to the kidney, what type of treatments will I have to look forward to because of my scenario?

22 years ago, I had my left kidney removed due to "Chronic Pylenophritis" (kidney infections)..  For 20 years I never had any type of episode with the other kidney until one day I started to develop kidney stones!    2 days ago, I went under, and had a scope study to find out if there was a blockage or stone that was causing me severe pain, less urine and blood and puss in my urine..    Now let me tell you, that before I had this procedure I have had several stents placed in my urinary tract in the past 2 years, to assist me in passing 3 mm stones or smaller..  Now the reason that I mentioned above is several of the reasons the Dr. decided to do this procedure, as well as seeing a small 1mm stone..   After the procedure the Dr. told my husband that he did not find the stone they saw, and it must have passed, but they discover something we were told was even more serious considering I only have 1 kidney left.
The Dr. called me this morning to check up on me to see how I was doing, and to let me know what he had mentioned to my husband after the surgery.   He didn't want to go into details over the phone, but said that we had to discuss this situation and talk about future treatments...
What type of Treatments will I have to look forward to?  I am really scared!!

Hi,
It isn’t easy to guess  if there isn’t any detail what the doctors saw (I can't interpret the picture). The only answer would then be based on the apparent severity of a condition for someone who has one kidney. The scenario seems to depict a condition that will weigh a decision that may lead to losing the single kidney. There are partial surgical resections of the kidneys that can be done for some cases, if that indeed would be the required next step.
Stay positive.
