My daughter has C.P and is developmentaly delayed.  She has been eating sand ,eggshells, dirt, paper and anything  she can get her hands on since she has been about 2 or3 , she is know 9. She eats stuff thats on the ground or on the floor or stuck to her clothes, everything go's right to her mouth.Like tonight I made a cake, put it in the refrigerator to cool, when I cam back into the kitchen to get the cake she had eatin half of it and was sitting at the table eating eggshells from the trash,help. She also eats alot of popcorn , she ate so much onetime she vomited then ate more. My friend told me about pica , is this what she has and if so what do I do.

One more thing ,she is always picking, she pick herself till she bleeds and she pick other stuff too, like toys, windos, floors anything. Someone please help ,not sure what to do.

Jaime...you need to get your daughter to a pediatrician who works with theses kind of cases..you need much more than a few tips on how to handle this...this is a serious condition, it is not emotional eating.
