What to expect of final stages of liver cancer

by birdbarn, Apr 18, 2008 12:16AM
I am the major care giver for my sister.  She is in the final stages of liver cancer.  Hospice is in our home helping with this time in our lives and very helpful.  The past few days her nausea and vomiting have been worse.  Her stomach is growling and rumbling.  Her urine is the color of pepsi or coffee and she stool has also changed to a black color. She sleeps a lot and eats very little.  I have read several posts that sound very similar.  She has come confusion at times.  Then at others is clear in thinking and speech.  Are there other things that I need to look for and expect in this final stage.  Her skin color is yellow but has not become extremely  more so in the last days.
