Cough and Fever after Angioplasty with Stents

My dad had angioplasty(with stenting) about 3 months back. Ever since last 1 month, cough with phlem is quite persistant. He took a few anti allengy drugs but catching up fever once in a fortnight or so that lasts for a day or two. Is this any way abnormal? His cardiac follow-up checkups indicates that he is recevoring well.
