So I'm on Day 4 with my deciding to quit Percocets.. The pain has been so bad, mostly in my legs... BUT I read a post from someone on here that said to wrap ace bandages around your legs and it will help.. Well, i was just sitting here not even 5 minutes ago thinknig about getting maybe even just a half of a half of a pill to ease the pain..then I remembered what that post said..I don't have ace bandages here at home (and lord knows I'm not up to going to the store) so i used my daughters' winter scarves.. I was shocked.. it feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better.. Thank you so much to whoever posted that advice..

It works wonders huh? You can also try a heating pad along with that. I think thats the only thing that helped my RLS..(ace bandages and heating pad)...

I wish I had known this trick when I was going through withdrawals but I still have RLS, always have.  I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia and it is one of the symptoms of it, so the next time I get it I will definately be trying it.
Nikki- hang in there girl, not too much longer and then you will be done with the worst of it.  After that everyday get better.  Just hand in there a lttle bit longer and you will remember why you chose to stop.
CONGRATULATIONS!!

Maybe we should post that on the health pages.  My husband suggested it for me when I was going thru withdrawals in Jan.  He is such a smart guy!  I know a few other people have discovered the same thing.  I also took aspirin before bedtime too.
Keep up the good work.  It will just keep getting better and better!

Good for you Nikki. I'm on day 5 of c/t from a nasty hydro habit. The withdrawals come in waves, and that "little man" in the back of my head tells me I need a few pills pretty often. I'm positive you have the same experiences. Telling you that you can do this is telling myself that I can do it. We both can. Look at all the success stories on this forum!
We may not be able to keep from wanting the drug, but if we keep from taking it for long enough, I'm sure that will subside also. Hang in there.
