Random Nausea/Discomfort

by axi0m, Apr 18, 2008 01:29PM
This is a moderately chronic problem (in that it comes and goes randomly and usually lasts a week or two) but after going to the doc having bloodwork done for basically everything under the sun, doing home yeast infection tests (spit in the glass of water) I have come up with nothing that works shed any sort of light of what I experience.

Typical day when I have this problem:

Wake up, go through normal routine which is normally a cup of coffee my vitamins then check my email etc, hop in the bathroom take care of business, shower and then grab breakfast when I'm out.  Then depending on if it's a day off or I work go about my normal daily routines, nothing really different from a work day or non work day except I might eat at slightly different times (1 hour variance at most).  Come home, puts around online for awhile eat some dinner then either work out and sleep or just sleep.  Typical normal day.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, some days (it could go on for 2, 5, 7 or any random interval of days)  I randomly throughout the day will get a sense of nausea, usually with some mild discomfort in my abdomen.  The nausea is nearly overpowering, I burp a lot (sometimes with some regurgitation in the back of my throat), and feel that if I wanted to I COULD vomit but normally don't HAVE to (as it seems to only make the nausea worse) this nausea seems to be completely random, sometimes it happens after I eat, sometimes before, sometimes right in the middle of meals, and sometimes after I get up in the morning, or as I'm laying in bed trying to fall asleep.

I haven't experienced it in a couple months, but just these past few days it's back and seems worse than before.  Last year when it was pretty bad I went my doctor for a checkup and a ton of bloodwork was done (basically checked everything on the chart that could even maybe somewhat possibly be related to what I was experiencing) and it came out inconclusive, according to the bloodwork I was healthy and clean as a whistle.

That being said I'm completely at a loss for what's happening to me, I can't pinpoint ANYTHING that triggers it, and it ends up "going away" as quickly as it comes.  I say "going away" because it never goes away permanently and always comes back eventually.

Any ideas at all?
