Poking sensations...

by Riot_Queen, Apr 19, 2008 09:09PM
I've been told that babies moving feels like bubbles popping, or a fluttery kinda thing.
And I did feel that a couple times like back in my early 15th week, but I've been getting a different feeling lately.
Kinda like a very VERY FAINT poking sensation.
Right around the area where my baby is.

I'm not sure if that's the baby, or what.
But it's a very distinct feeling that I've never felt before.
Could it possibly be the baby??

I know s/he is very active because the little bugger keeps kicking me in my ribs almost every day, but sometimes I'll feel it more down lower, and it's very strange.

Any suggestions as to what it could be?
It's just very odd and questionable.

If you're very slim than I would bet my last dollar that that is the baby moving. If you are larger, it MIGHT be your intestines because it's a lot harder to feel a baby if you're bigger. I say this from EXPERIENCE! I'm not trying to be rude, so please NO ONE take offense! I don't think my heart could handle anymore debates...

Anyway, sounds like it probably is baby!

THATS THE BABY GIRL! That's how it feels with me when he's not rollin around.
lol, Altho I hardly ever feel it.

Lol I know what you mean.
I'm not very skinny, but I'm not really that chubby either.

I used to be a state champion swimmer, and since I've quit, my arms and legs got a lil chubby, and I got these lil luv handles, but my stomach always stayed the same until I hit 3 months and now I've got Mount. Baby here.
lolol.

My mid section has always stayed pretty slim, and my stomach was flatter than a door no matter how chubby my legs and arms got.
I never understood why.

So I guess I would be able to feel it.

I can't feel it on the outside, I can only feel it on the inside.

It usually happens a couple times a day.
Mostly when I'm laying on my stomach, or on my side when I'm trying to fall asleep.

If I'm standing or what not I can't feel it.
But like I said, I only feel it if there's pressure on my tummy like me laying on my stomach.

Other than that all I feel is the random kicking in my ribs.

same here, I only feel flutters if I've got something pressing on my stomach. .. give it about 2 weeks and you'll feel it from the outside.

i've had that feeling i agree it's most likely the baby :D soon you'll be able to feel them from the outside how exciting, babys usually sleep when your up and around, and awake when you try and sleep, at leasts thats when i felt him move the most or when i was relaxed :D

I definitely feel it like soft pokes, usually in the same place 3-6 times in a row and then moves around a bit. I am 21 weeks (today yay) and i have been feeling like that since about week 17. I would def. get your partner and/or friends to feel it when it kicks because usually does happen more than once and with you constantly telling them when it is happening they can get sensitive to the the kicks quicker. My partner could feel them way before anoybody else could just because he was used to it.

Yay for kicks! Congrats!!

I'ma have to wait a few more weeks till anyone but me will be able to feel them. lol
