Prandin vs. Starlix vs. Insulin

by ES1942, Apr 20, 2008 11:11AM
I have been on Lantus and Starlix for several years.  Fasting glucose is typically about 80.  I have been working out and lost  weight but to my surprise my A1C has increased from 6.8 to 7.8.  I started to check glucose after meals and found that two and sometimes three hours after meals, my readings have been over 200.  My doctor replaced Starlix with Prandin, but i don't see a difference.  Should I be increasing my dose of the pill or switching from the pills to Humalog, Novolog or Aspira?
