swollen palate

I recently had a pulpotomy performed on one of my teeth. this was done to relieve some swelling on the side of my face. I then got a root canal scheduled for the following month. Unfortunately my insurance coverage dropped and I am waiting to get my new coverage with my employer set up, as such I have had to postpone the root canal. now over the last week my palate has begun swelling around that tooth. is this something that can be left alone for another month or so until my insurance kicks in, or could this be something i really need to get checked out even if i have to pay for any procedures out of my own pocket.

You have an active and acute infection which required immediate attention.  I would suggest you seek care and ask the doctor if they can do anything about the payments.
