Hoodia and High Blood Pressure

by Dr_J, Apr 20, 2008 01:23PM
In the past few months my blood pressure has been really crazy.  The diastolic is always over 100 and my doctor has changed my medication now 3 times.  Is there possibly an interaction between the Hoodia I'm taking to lose weight and the blood pressure?

Hoodia is an appetite suppressant that has not been very well studied.  In fact, its efficacy is often questioned.  I am not aware of any side-effects of this supplement.  Certainly, if you think that there is a temporal relationship between your starting the hoodia and poor blood pressure control you should you could probably assume that the two are somehow related.
