Bleeding during intercourse

by ASAP08, Apr 21, 2008 02:18PM
I've have developed a problem with bleeding during intercourse.  I have been tested for everything under the sun and they have found nothing, no root cause. The used the camera and the diagnosis was cervicitis.  I had the cryosurgery done 6 weeks ago with the "hopes" that it would help...and you guessed it.  During intercourse it happened again.  I was hoping that someone could give me some possible other solutions or refer me to an expert gyn in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area.  This is begining to hurt my marriage.  PLEASE HELP!!!

Ask your physician if they have any thoughts on a local referral for you.  Your bleeding should not affect your ability to conceive.

I have been seen by 3 gyn's in the same office.  My primary care dr. took a look the other day and stated that my cervics' looked fine but when she inserted the speculum she saw some bleeding and irritation of my vaginal walls.  We are trying to have another baby after 8 years.  Will this cause complications as well?

thank you for your response.  In another forum, a young lady stated that she was prescribed Zovirax.  She did not specify weither she has the herpes virus.  Is it possible that this medication could work even if you don't have herpes? I am willing to try anything at this point.  I also did some research on endometritis.  Since I have had sonograms and paps and all came back normal, is it possible that endometritis was not detected?
