Inflammed arteries in the neck?

by Totie, Apr 22, 2008 04:39PM
Can anyone tell me what it means to have inflammed arteries in the neck. I am being put on steroids for this at the moment. I have been having severe neck pain, pain under the jaw line, pain in back of the head. She told me she has only seen two cases in her life time with this condition. It apparently restricts blood flow to the brain. I forgot what she named it. She said it is like a migrane, only problem is i do not suffer nor have i ever suffered from migranes. I am tender to the touch of my vessels in the neck. I have been racking my brains to remember what she called it. My questions are what is it called and how long will it last?
