new freckles

My daughter has never had freckles. She has black hair & olive skin. She has had minimal to no sun exposure in her life; never been sunburned & wears SPF 50 to go outside & play. She has a history of leukemia which is why we have always been so careful w/ her skin. Over the past 6 weeks she has "broken out" with over 50 new freckles. Primarily on the soles of her feet & palms of her hands & now starting on her face. They are not raised at all & they don't bother her. The only other skin condition she has ever had is molluscum which is viral & led to multiple cases of severe cellulitis.The molluscum have been dormant for the past 3 years & over the last 3 months have begun spreading & now these new freckles. My doctor wants us to have skin samples done as precaution due to her history & 3 years of chemotherapy. What could these be other than normal freckles? We are going to the dermatologist in the nex few weeks.
