It can get better

by mrosem14, Apr 22, 2008 08:57PM
My name is Marie, I'm 19 years old, and was diagnosed with reoccurring depression when I was eleven, and bipolar disorder, type 2, when I was 16. I struggled with self-injury from the age of 14 until the present, and had 3 suicide attempts.

Today, I am a happy, healthy, productive young woman. I went through a lot of therapy (talk and medicinal), a lot of tears, a lot of well... all the **** that comes from being a depressed teen. And I just want to let everyone in here that it can get better. It really can. I hope that you know that. I hope you don't give up. Keep trying, keep hoping no matter how hard it hurts.

Good luck to everyone, and if you ever need to talk... I'm here.

*hug*
