Itching after treatment.

by n012call, Apr 23, 2008 05:45PM
I have a persistent itch near the head of my penis. I have taken a weeks worth of Doxycycline, and 2 treatments of 1500mg of Zithromax (twice in 1 month) I figured that would fix the problem if it was Chlamydia or Trich. The Zythromax seems to slow down the symptoms but 3 days after the treatment the itching persists. I am at my wits end and have vistied a clinic who tells me I have tested clean after a urine test and a swab test. I am looking for some other ideas of what I could be dealing with. Is it possible to have a fungal infection (along the lines of jock itch) on the end of my penis? Sometimes the itching is near the shaft and testicles as well. Thanks!

Yep, and the antibiotics could be making it worse.
