I am extremely worried

by Alec231, Apr 23, 2008 10:33PM
I am a 17 year old african american who has had these bumps under my foreskin for the past couple of months. They are pretty tiny and are hard to scratch at along with them on the head of my penis I have little red bumps not big but more visible they do not itch or cause me any discomfort in any way but they are still there. I recently had a doctor look at the bumps to which he quickly replied it wasn't a STD but some type of skin irritation but he was mum on what I should do. These bumps have been there for quite some time and I am seriously thinking it is more than just a irritation. I pray it isn't a STD like warts or herpes but I would rather know than go around ignorant to my problem but if you come to the same conclusion as the other doc what do you recommend I take to  make it go away.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Google balanitis and see if it fits.  Its a fungal infection.

You're welcome.  You should still get it checked, and testing is never a bad idea anyway, just to know your std status.

Good luck.

They're has been some new developments in my condition I now have tiny little red blisters along the tip of my penis head they do not hurt but they don't look so good  and I have never seen them before so i was wondering if you can tell me what it is or your opinion

It could still be balanitis.  You need to make an appt with your doctor or go to a Planned Parenthood or std clinic and have them checked.  Your doc should always give you a treatment plan, and yours didn't.  Maybe its time to find a new doctor.

I talked to a doctor he said it was skin irritation but he examined it too fast for me to just let it rest and also with the new red bumps around my penis head im afraid i have herpes or gential warts don't exactly know about the symptoms of them but I fear I might have either one and can't have a normal relationship until i can rule them out

Then go back to the doc and have him look again.
