urgent neurodermatitis help

by Emma08, Apr 24, 2008 03:31AM
My aunt has been diagnosed with neurodermatitis. It seems she's had it long term (for at least 30 years) and has been taking cortisone for all that time. Her skin is now extremely thin (she's losing liquid through it) and she is permanently itching and uncomfortable. I'm not sure she can even put cream on her skin anymore, it's in such a bad state. The only relief she gets is when she is occasionally admitted to hospital and they give her more cortisone. She is now apparently suicidal and we really want to know if there is anything that could be done to help resolve the situation.
