Anger outburts with Bipolar

by bemyselfagain, Apr 25, 2008 03:57AM
I started taking Wellbutrin a month a ago.  My life has been a rollercoaster since.  I'm at my wits end.  Has anyone experienced anger outburts after taking Wellbutrin.  What has been your best combination of medicines to take for Bipolar?  Has anyone been on medicines for a long period of time and been stabilized with this disease?  I'm looking fo hope here.  I am so frustrated.

I am on Lithium and Wellbutrin, it totally rocks for me.  I love wellbutrin, I lose weight, feel peppy and over all better.  Oh yeah, no sucky depression! :0)   I have not heard of angry outbursts on it, but if this came about after starting wellbutrin, then I would switch to a different anti-depressent.  Some people can not tolerate Wellbutrin.  This is my second time using it.  I used it alone before I starting having manic spells.  They put me back on it after I was on Lithium for a year.  Also, nothing else worked well with the Lithium.  What mood stabilizer are you on?  There are only a few anti-D's we can take that will not put us into mania, wellbutrin being one.  I think Lexepro and Paxil are good too.  Hope this helps!

the problem is that what works for one person could do nothiing for others because we are all dfferent. I am on lamictal klonopin remeron and seroquel for niights I cant sleep or just have a bad day. But I for one cannot take any ssri's cause they make my bipolar worse throwing me iintorage attacks. I have to be on meds that keep me calm all day or i can lose control of myself and it is scary as hell. so my advise to you is to work with your phyc and find the right combo for you if yu have no insurance there are many places that help peple like us get the help we need so we can hopefully be able to get back out in the real world and gets jobs.
