Laparoscopic Surgery to Remove Omentum

by SWMBO, Apr 25, 2008 08:56AM
My gyn oncologist plans to remove my ovaries, fallopian tubes, and omentum via laparoscopic surgery. I had my uterus removed in 1986. I have an initial diagnosis of PPPN (primary papillary peritoneal neoplasia).

I am 5'3" and weigh 110 lbs. Is it likely that the surgeon can remove my omentum by laparoscopic surgery?

I have never heard of the omentum being removed by laparoscopic surgery. I might want another opinion on the success of that first.  Good luck to you. I hope all goes well. Marie
