Neurology exam

by oddsymptoms, Apr 25, 2008 10:02AM
I seen a Neurologlist because a cop stopped me for weaving on the road.  I talked myself out of the ticket. I had seizures in 1981 to 1983.  I had to do with lights ina CAD room.  The terminals would make me just fall over.   I seen a Neurologist at University of Michigan who said I have seizures.  I  changed job and went drug free for year even thought it felt odd.   My doctor put me on Levothyroxin 50 mg.  I lose 5 pound in three days then the weird stuff started to happen.  Severe, depression, forgetfullness, then my legs would just move when I was laying done.  I had 5 grand mal seizures at night.  Then they just stopped.  The seizures now is just like falling asleep while driving for 2 seconds then waking up then doing it again.  The emergency room put me on Tegetol 200 mg twice and day.   I stopped doing that.  At the Neurologist the right side feel less pain then the left side and I can't walk heel to toe I will fall over.  I knew my balance was off.  I just got a pace maker on April 9.  The left side of my head feel weird.  My right hand will shake.  I have a cat scan and EEG to go too.  What is wrong?

I am very sorry for your serious neurological symptoms but the biggest thing wrong with you now is you need to STOP DRIVING.  For the sake of yourself, the people you may kill or maim, the disabilities you can cause...  Will it take a death on the road to make you realise you cannot be behind the wheel in your state?  I make few apologies for saying this but I am furious.  You are clearly in a very bad state and I wish you to be well and back in control and to have all the answers, but putting other people's lives at risk is not going to make you better.  Life is unfair, you have a problem which is restricting you, so do so many of us.  People in wheelchairs, blind people, dying people, nobody asks for sickness as their lot in life.  You have a driving license, and you have the choice whether to use it.  Your choice is as irresponsible as one who drinks excessively and then drives.  Get angy with me if you like, but think this one through.  You have to get off the road.  I can't take in your symptoms and advise you and actually am not inclined to.  Show some responsibility, and then get yourself better.  I wish you good health, and hope to God you have not harmed anyone else.

I am sorry you are experiencing all these strange symptoms.  I am epileptic and experiencing strange symtoms including balance.   ALL I can say is I have had it before and it went away and yours might be temporary too.  Just don't panic and think your going crazy because you aren't.  And please don't drive.  If you were to be responsible for an accident that killed someone you would never forgive yourself
