Breast lift with augmentation

by Becky969, Apr 25, 2008 07:14PM
I had a breast augementation with lift 2 days ago and have the following questions:

1.  How long does the post op pain continue.  I really don't want to be a zombie due to
     the prescribed pain meds.

2.  What day can you remove the breast binder?

3.  When you do remove it, is it best to wear a sports bra or a loose fitting shirt without a bra?

4.  What is the typical time frame that you see the final results of the surgery?

Post-op pain following augmentation varies from patient to patient, but the most severe discomfort is typically reduced by four days.  I do not use a breast binder, but only a sports bra.  Your surgeon should advise you about his/her post-op recommendation for the binder use.  Most augmentations look fairly settled at one month, but the final results can take up to four months for complete shape change.
