Wild night in China pays...

I'm currently under stress and deep depression.
My exposure was during 2 month ago when i stationed at China for an exchange seminar. after the seminar, my colleagues at China brought me around the city ( beijing ) to experience its nite life. It was then we visited a brothel which provides 3 some services ( 2 ladies and 1 guy). It was my first time having such fun and new experience. It was then i reallised that my condom broke around 25 mins after the intercourse. I didnt know how long i did with the the broken condom ( 1.5 cm slit). I was really shocked and didnt know what to do. Now back in UK, i dun really know how to face my wife and family. around 4 weeks ago i started to have weird spots and weird fever. i went online to search of info and i ordered an express kit from a website www.hivkit.co.uk after reading some of the post in the medhelp forum. i had it tested and the result is negative. i'm quite relieve for a moment. are the result accurate?? i saw the doctors mentioned its quite accurate. shud i go for clinical lab test ??

After how many weeks from that exposure you did the test?

i did the test after 6 weeks from initial exposure. i plan to get another kit as i find it quite confidential to use. i read from another thread and from averts that if it shows negative its very accurate. at least it give me temporary peace of mind. still considering whether to go for futher lab test or not. (my earlier screen test shows clear negative band)

The chances that you would get HIV from any female are slim - condom or not.

Did the condom come off, or did you just notice a tear in it?

Where were the spots you had - were they genital or somwhere else on your body?

I know you want to know if you need further testing, but I can't answer that just based on the info you provided.

HIV tests would be about 90-95% accurate at 6 weeks.

It didnt slip off . Just saw a minor tear mark around 1.5 cm long. But i didnt know any liquid went inside tho.

so u mean for my case i can relly on the test result already rite as u say the exposure is quite minimal? i waiting for my 2nd test to be done b4 deciding for any futher real lab test. but the negative results from my first test did give me a slight relief and hope. Just hope my 2nd test will give me the same negative result. ordered express delivery kit to ease my anxiety. will update u all with the result.

I've taken my 2nd test from the test kit from www.hivkit.co.uk and the result turned out to be negative again. Altough from the website and the consultant says that its quite accurate i still have slight doubt. In the end i went to a lab test and get tested. the result came out to be negative! after 2 rapid screen test and 1 lab test, i finally have peace of mind!.  take care ,  play safe and get tested!
