Boston Children's Museum

Hi,
I visited the Boston Children's Museum with my son and he loved the egg hatchery. You can watch chicks being born right in front of you. He was mesmerized. My curiousity got the better of me and I asked the curator what they did with the chicks when they took them out of the hatchery and she sheepishly said they couldn't keep them in the museum so they got rid of them. I asked what that meant and she said they drowned the chicks as their lawyers said it was a liability if they gave them away and they happened to be infected etc.
I was really disappointed. It is ver educational for the children but sad that you have to kill life unnecessarily.
I can't bring myself to go to there again.

That's just sick that they're making a profit from this. It's not much different than animal chemical testing, which is illegal.
The thing that always cracks me up about there is that massive jungle gym they have going up the middle of all three floors. The one where parents can't get in at all, only kids. It's like Lord of the Flies in there.
