4 months of stomach problems and today getting left arm numbness

100%  Health 7 months ago.  Got something terrible 6 months ago(when I started working in a Nursing Home) and ended up in hospital with severe diarrhea and vomiting.  3 days on Flagyl and Cipro  and then got better.   2 months later start having stomach problems.  Feeling of fullness at smallest amount of food. Had much nausea to where I couldn't even drive 1 mile before feeling sick  very achy like vice grips on the stomach.  My diet has slowly decreased to where I can't hardly eat anything. (right now, small amounts baby food). I've lost 25lbs in a month and a half. 140lbs now.  Feel deeply sick.  I get horrible bouts of this weird intense malaise /feeling like I'm dying/ hot flash rush from lower back to back of head and saturates head. Neck feels stiffer.  Waves of this sporadically out of nowhere, sometimes lasting for days.  Now fever though, But yes chills.  Stomach and abdomen/ intestines feel like in a burning vice grip.  Off and on now lump in throat right where Adams apple is, with or without eating.   And currently I have a tingling numb left arm.   CT scan with contrast-nothing,  Ultrasound-  very small 2mm polyp in gallbladder-said symptoms don't match, no surgery.  Endoscopy- shows nothing really.  some small red spots but doc says nothing abnormal.  Biopsies were neg.  for what i'm not sure. Tried Bentyl, Phenergan, Zophran, Previcid, the works, nothing helps.  In the hospital morphine didn't even cut the pain and actually made my neck stiffen like a board.  Been a vegetarian my whole life but did have some raw chicken about 3 or 4 months ago.    Of all the stuff I searched on  internet within last 4 months  this girl's question fit most closely. Please read it. I have done most of all the same things as her for treatment.   I am 27 yrs old

I agree with the workup thus far, and many of the major GI disorders would have been excluded already.

More specialized tests can be done with a 24-hr pH study to exclude GERD, or a gastric emptying scan to evaluate for gastroparesis.

I would also consider malabsorption, which can be evaluated with stool tests.  Blood tests can also be done to look for celiac disease.

These options can be discussed with a GI physician, preferably at a major academic medical center.
