Used Plan B, then came my period, a week and a half early?

My boyfriend and I had sex 5 days after my last period. The condom broke so we went a bought plan B right away. My period came a week and a half after (which is a week and a couple of days early). The doctor told me that my period should come on time. My doctor also told me that when women take plan B, spotting can occur. I'm pretty sure this wasn't just spotting. It deffinetly was a period. I also asked the doctor to start me on a birth control method called The Nuva Ring (Its like the pill but you dont have to worry about taking a pill at the same time every day). The ring must get inserted a couple of days after my period. But since my period came early, or maybe its not my real period, should I wait?

plan b has a lot of horomones and can mess up a womans period. i would say that would be your period. but call the doctor and ask. that would be the best
