Temporary crown

by charbab, Apr 27, 2008 04:47PM
Just went to dentist for a normal 6 mo. cleaning.  He found a cracked tooth, back left molar.  He made an appt. for a temporary crown.  Went in and he stated at that time I think you are grinding your teeth at night.  While putting on the temp. crown he said there was a cavity below th crack which made the procedure a little more that he thought.  He built up the tooth before placing on the temp. crown.
When the novicain wore off I was in a little discomfort.  At night I have an aching pain and popping in my air from sinus with pain every morning.  I was taking percocet in the evening and change to Tylenol sinus day and night.  It take the pressure off and feels better but not completely.  He advised me if the tooth is still in pain by tommorrow to see the root canal doctor (endo..)?  What do you think ?  Awaiting, permanent crown one more week.
Thank you.
