Am I miscarrying!!!??? Please help!

Ok here's the sitution. Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED. I'm going to start from the beginning. I started ttc upon the removal of my copper iud(Feb 8/08)... I had two bery normal cycles, my last normal cycle was March21st-23rd, then got my first BFP this month (4/21/08)... Went to the doctor on March 25th and he couldn't see anything with the vaginal u/s, and the urine test at the doctor's was NEGATIVE, so he said I am either too early too see anything, OR I may have had a "chemical preg".... AF still has not shown at this point. HOWEVER, yesterday (April 26th) I couldn't help myself so i took another Hpt just to see and it was positive (faint but positive)... They took my blood at the doctors and I should find out what that says tomorrow (Mon.4/28)... yesterday I had some mild cramping with no spotting, but today my husb and I BD'd and there is some spotting now, accompanied by some menstural-like cramping off and on but not unbearable, and the blood isn't flowing or anything, just a little (enough that I can see it), and the cramps have subsided since... Do you think I am coming upon a miscarriage, or is this normal? And has anyone else experienced something similar and had everything work out ok in the end? I'm really scared... Any help would be great to get me through until I hear what my blood tests shows tomorrow....

If your last period was March 21st I would say that not seeing anything on a vaginal ultrasound (I presume you meant April 25th for the u/s and not March 25th) would be normal. A "chemical" pregnancy (commonly referred to as a blighted ovum) would still show a positive urine test and sometimes you would see an empty gestational sac on ultrasound.

As hard as it is, you probably just need to wait for the blood work - and even harder, the stuff on Monday wont be definittive, you'll have to wait another 2-3 days and get it checked again. I know, it's so hard to wait but that way you will know for sure!  Good luck!

You are correct. I did mean April 25th I went to the doc for an U/S, sorry. =) These complications have got me a little "off"...  Anyhow, last night the cramps persisted on and off and finally around midnight I passed a couple pretty good sized clots, so I'm pretty sure I had a m/c??? I'm still waiting to hear from the doc for the results of my bloodwork from last Friday's appt, but judging by what I saw last night, it doesn't look good. Thank you so much for answering my post. I'll keep you posted here as to what's going on. Who knows, maybe by some stroke of miraculous luck, everything might turn out fine, but I'm not holding my breath at this point. What's meant to be will be, right? Thanks Again... =)

Well, after reading your second post i'd say yes, i'm very sorry it does sound like it.
But like you say, what will be will be, and it sounded as though you fall pregnant easily enough.
For future ref though, I had spotting with my first pregnancy. Brown, no cramps. And everything was fine, sailed the rest of my pregnancy. This time i had a sudden red bleed, still no cramps, and luckily everything again seemed to be fine (although i'm not 12 weeks yet).

They say cramps and red blood is time to worry. Although no bleeding is a good sign, it doesn't necessarily mean it's over. HTH x

Hi there. Unfortunately I did suffer a miscarriage, but like I said at the end of my last post, "What's meant to be will be."... I hope everything turns out ok for you.
