Do you know a specialist?

I've looked at the many topics and my daughter (now 7 years old) seems to have major issues with all.  She's had language issues since she was 2-3 years old (she started speak through TX Children’s at age 3) Because of her speech issues she's had a difficult time blending in socially.  She's been through the TX Children's Learning Support Center which really gave no diagnosis.  I noticed something different about my daughter at age 2.  Her physician passed it off as "children developed differently and at different times"  but I feel she is suffering and desperately am looking for a solution.  Her reading comprehension is almost nonexistent- she has the basics but is not progressing.  We've been ran through the system multiple times she's seen so many different doctors and been in speech therapy since the age of three.  What do you suggest we do now?

It sounds as though you have worked hard to obtain services to support your child, but you are not happy with her progress. She may need more intensive services, or a different type of services. I recommend that you meet with her school to discuss your concerns. In my experience, strong parent advocacy is often required to obtain appropriate services.

Are you looking for advice in terms of reading comprehension or in getting a diagnosis?  Has your daughter had an evaluation for special education services?  What were the results of the evaluation?
