She is here and she is PERFECT!
Weighing in at 5 pounds 12 ozs, and 17 inches long. Yep, she is short like her mommy. =) And some premie outfits are too BIG!! lol!!
She is very healthy. We had her on April 22nd by C-Section. The section went great, and I am recovering extremely fast. I actually decided to stop taking the pain meds the day that I came home. I was soo worried about Ava getting the Demoral in her system, which they said would not happen, but I am paranoid about those things.
I only had a quick sec to check in. I'll check back in later tonight.

She was a breech baby, that is why they wanted to take her two weeks early. They did not want me to go into labor with her on my own.
She is a beautiful little angel. I love to watch her make faces.
Does your daughter know if she is having a boy or girl? Does she have any names picked out yet?
I recommend breastfeeding. I absolutely love breastfeeding Ava, it's a wondeful bonding experience.

She has to have an ultrasound tomorrow, because the last two doctor's visits, she hasn't been growing very much (fundal height measurement). I just put out a post on the 21-34 forum about this - - to see if they can give us a weight of the baby during that time.
She is also going to try to breastfeed and I hope it works for her. With both of my daughters I had lots of trouble and it only last a couple of weeks. Ugh....

Ava weighed 12 pds when I took her into see her Pedi about a week and a half ago. They did not measure her this time, but I'm guessing she is about 22 inches now. :) It sounds like your baby is right on track! Ava was delivered about 2 weeks early because she was breech.
