Went to have a pregnancy test done...:(

I'm going to have an HSG test done on Wed. April 30th, but the nurse wanted to make sure that I was not pregnant before I go, so I had to come in and she went ahead and did a urine test, and also sent me to have a blood test done, the urine test came back negative, is it at all possible that it's too early for a urine test to show up???? If when I was supposed to get my period I was only spotting, and it has only been a week since that happened????

Yes, it is possible. I usually do a blood quantitative beta HCG to be sure that you are not pregnant.
