Abnormal EKG & Large Breasts?

by Stacey_D, Apr 28, 2008 05:47PM
I had an EKG done a while back while hospitalized for optic nueritis, and was told by the resident cardiologist that it may be due to my large breasts. This was so ludicrous to me - even more so when he didnt do any follow ups - but it was a hectic time and I didn't pursue it with all the other stuff goin' on.

Is this common? And if so, why?

Thanks in advance!!

I had a cardiac electrophysiologist tell me the same thing after an abnormal stress test.  I thought he was just being sexist, but I guess it's the same thing.  I looked at him and was able to honestly tell him that what he was seeing wasn't what he thought.  I'd had a mastectomy and reconstruction prior to the stress test.
