What does this mean????

by maya273, Apr 29, 2008 10:41AM
Dear Doctor,

I have just received a letter from my consultant in London.
The end bit says:
"you do have a relatively low basal cortisol of 127nmol/L and an unrecordable serum ACTH. In view of the latter findings I think it important that we should informally exclude pituitary deficiency and I have organised pituitary function testing"

I have just went for my test, an insulin test (stress test).
I was given a copy of my blood result from last week:
ACTH <1.1  ng/L  (0 - 50)
Cortisol  127 nmol/L     08.00hr - 09.00hr (185 - 624 nmol/L)

What "could" this mean????
