cavity!?

by sweetiieheart, Apr 29, 2008 11:48AM
my front right pointy tooth has a cavity right at the gumline, and I have no idea what they will do to fix it, and I really do not want to have my tooth pulled.

My gum line on that tooth is very low, and I'm concerned.

It appears to be a subgingival lesion.Packing a retraction cord can facilitate the filling procedure in most cases.

Okay, so I looked at the pictures of that kind of thing, and it looks nothing like that.

It isn't red or inflammed, and it doesn't ache.

It's just like someone went in and drilled a little place right where the tooth meets the gum.

he meant that the dentist can use a retraction cord (mine uses a laser) to push back or shave the gum a small amount so a filling can be put in. if its a hole in the tooth its a cavity and needs to be filled.
