Ulcus Cornae

by Alex228, Apr 29, 2008 01:47PM
Hi,

since 1,5 years I'm suffering from a recurrent conjuctivitis with ulcus cornae, that comes always on only one eye (always the same). Antibiotics work, but a month later oder two, the same problem reoccurs. The ulcus is located randomly in the perphery of the cornea. I'm quite desperated, do you have any idea what types of bacteria could evoke such symptoms?

thanks in advance, Alex (23, male)

This is a chronic problem that probably has quite a bit to do with lid margin disease.  Often staph bacteria are involved.  Try sterilid or ocusoft plus lid cleaner to reduce bacterial flora.  Take proper antibiotic drops or ointments and oral flax and fish oil.  You will have to pay close attention to the problem probably your whole life.
